Recipe: Chicken Pot Pie

The BEST chicken pot pie recipe! And it’s ridiculously easy to make! Such a delicious, comfort dinner that the whole family is sure to love.

I’ve been making this Chicken Pot Pie for about 20 years. It’s easy, comforting and so yummy!

The ingredients are crazy or hard to find either making this a perfect dinner for any family.

Ingredients needed

  • Chicken-Rotisserie chicken is super easy!
  • Frozen peas and carrots
  • Potato
  • Gravy
  • Cream of Chicken
  • Pie crust

How to make Chicken Pot Pie

Cook and cube chicken and potatoes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together gravy and cream of chicken.

Mix together cooked chicken, potatoes, frozen vegetables and gravy mix.

Place mixture in a pie crust and cover with the second pie crust. Press edges of pie crusts together to make a seal. Use a knife to cut a few slits on the top of the pie to help steam escape.

Cook for 45-60 minutes, until crust is golden.

Let sit for 5 minutes after pulling it out of the oven before serving.

Notes

  • I like to use rotisserie chicken with this meal. It makes it easy, and the chicken is delicious.
  • I usually boil the potatoes to cook them.
  • One way to make this a super easy meal is to use biscuits (homemade or store bought) and make the rest of the meal on the stove and spoon it over the biscuits instead of using a pie crust.
